GENERAL FUNCTION
Lead the support team and operations for all automation equipment and processes that have been released to production.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write new recovery procedures or update existing procedure after an improvement. Manage shift assignment, sick time, vacations of team members and timely approval of weekly attendance in Kronos. Maintain team members presence on all night shift’s during shift team member’s absence which includes vacation and sick time. Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields and costs. Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards. Support production requirements in active response role for system performance and equipment performance. Support and resolve specific equipment concerns coordinating with internal and external vendors as needed. Become adept at understanding and troubleshooting specific equipment. Coordinate with cross functional groups to accomplish objectives and develop teams. Responsible for collaborating with the training department to provide employees with soft skill, social and technical training. Collect, record and analyze data. Evaluate and present recommendations for Continuous Improvement. Lead process improvement projects in cross functional teams. Advise and/or lead corrective action activities.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 yrs of equipment maintenance experience or 6+ years of experience and 2 years of people management in a manufacturing facility. State of Mass electrical license or eligibility requirements Working knowledge of equipment trouble shooting and lean manufacturing principals. Ability to troubleshoot servo drives specifically AB drives. Potential knowledge of replacing and programming drives. Specific knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA). Specific knowledge of writing equipment or process / product validation documents. Working knowledge of equipment mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and lean manufacturing principals. Strong knowledge in electromechanical systems and troubleshooting utilizing Allen Bradley PLC ladder logix 5000. Strong knowledge in Magnemotion and Montrac conveyor system and potential capability to replace node controller, motors, TCU units and IRM’s. Coordinate effective collection of data from production equipment to improve the operation and reduce down time. Review collected data with Methods, Maintenance and Technical Support groups. Analyze the data and make recommendations. Strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills. Proven ability in project management skills. High level of written and oral communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of process automation, packaging, inking, and mispack resolutions is a plus. Knowledge of vision systems, database, computers and automated equipment is a plus.Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
