Job Summary
The maintenance clerk will perform administrative and clerical duties for the maintenance department.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Maintain files, such as maintenance records, bills of lading, or cost reports.
+ Contact suppliers to verify shipment details.
+ Distribute production schedules.
+ Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
+ Confer with establishment personnel and vendors to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
+ Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or vendor information, so that status reports can be completed.
+ Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
+ Performs other clerical and all duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Coordinate shipping activities with external parties.
+ Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
+ Inspect items for damage or defects.
+ Compile and categorize data or documentation.
+ Record production information.
+ Prepare informational or reference materials.
+ Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
+ Maintain operational records.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
+ Knowledge of Content Management System-Fiix preferred
Education and Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Clerical experience required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When in the field, appropriate hearing protection may be needed.
Safety
Expected to always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in a production environment (Hard Hat, Steel Toed Boots and Reflective Visible Clothing/Vest) or as required for the specific job duty. Be alert and observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions. Follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements. Assure that appropriate task training has been completed and documented for all equipment, vehicles, and systems.
