Job Description

Maverick Pipe, a partner of Zekelman, is seeking a Maintenance Compound Technician for it's Richmond, KY location.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for maintaining the mechanical systems for the compounding area.  The position will also be responsible for monitoring the blending system when necessary. 

 

SHIFT - Monday through Thursday: 5:30am - 4:00pm

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.   Maintains the mechanical systems for the compounding area. Identifies issues with and repairs vacuums and blowers. Repairs and replaces airlocks and knife gates. Troubleshoots problems and identifies repair work as necessary. Repairs loss in weight feeder scales.Repairs and replaces diverter valves. Performs other duties as they might be assigned. Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role .  

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment desired. Facilities Maintenance background desired Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES 

Must be able to climb a silo and be comfortable working at heights up to 72 ft. Must be experienced with or willing to be trained on safety harness and fall arrest systems.  Must have the ability to prioritize, work independently, and proceed with objectives without direct supervision.  Must be able to list up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
