What You Will Do:
Utilizes electrical and computer skills to program controls for production equipment, ensures that it is running in the most efficient manner possibleTroubleshoots any issues related to PLC/Servo/HMI and make the necessary repairsTechnician resource to Operations, Reliability, Engineering, etc. on controls related issues including troubleshooting, analysis and recommending practical corrective actions for control-related problems Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to improve plant performance utilizing or improving current control systemsEffectively communicates with all levels of plant personnel Coaches the Maintenance Technicians on all automation systems Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checksMakes repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through CMMSOther duties as assignedPosition Details:
Plant location: Garland, TXWork week and shift: 3rd shift Monday-Friday (9:30 pm-5:30 am)Occasional off-shift and overtime work depending on current needs and projectsCompensation Package: starting at $36 / hrMinimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED5 years of experience in maintenance within a high-speed production environment5 years of experience with electrical and mechanical PLC based applications in an industrial environment5 years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environmentExperience with troubleshooting Allen Bradley RSLogix, 5/05, 500, 5000 and METrained in ARC Flash safetyNo Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunityPhysical Demands:
Must be able to lift/carry 50 poundsMust be able to pass a drug screen, background check and physical exam Must be able to work in difficult situations such as tight spaces, heat and elevated placesPreferred Qualifications:
