Maintenance Coordinator

Summary: As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will improve workforce productivity and safety by coordinating all maintenance activities and developing job and safety plans. You will ensure absolute compliance with all EHSS policies and procedures. In this position, you will be the liaison between maintenance and production to ensure all work activities are planned, estimated, and scheduled. You will also provide leadership and guidance on the effective operation of the CMMS system.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for screening work orders, identification of scope, analysis of the required level of planning, and overall scheduling of maintenance activities given available resources, the criticality of work, and open maintenance windows Analyze and investigate all work requests and develop all work order based job plans. Plan all maintenance work, estimate time and resources, and schedule all planned jobs. Work diligently with the operations department to generate weekly work plans and schedules.  Work with supervisors to implement daily programs. Manage maintenance scheduling process, including weekly management meetings and daily supervisor meetings. Ensure parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned to complete planned jobs. Ensure equipment and materials on site are appropriately stored, inspected, and cared for through general maintenance material handling and warehousing principles; utilize an effective Lay-up Maintenance Program, Shelf-Life Program, and accomplishment of Inventory Cycle Counts on Physical Inventories. Prepare sketches to support planned work. Work with Maintenance Manager to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs. Oversee plant PM and PdM programs. Develop work orders as needed based on PM & PdM inspections performed by outside contractors. Track and report on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability. Lead planning/scheduling effort for immediate plant shutdowns and equipment overhauls. Create and manage job plans in the CMMS system PM Development/Review as needed. Track and report on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability. Stage material to support Maintenance Work Orders and Planning. Establish relationships with Contractors and Vendors to ensure the timeliness progress of projects and equipment availability as needed. Work directly with contractors and vendors, oversee specific projects, as directed by Maintenance Manager. Responsible for unloading freight, transferring any and all necessary documents to CMMS Inventory Coordinator. Be able to fill in for the CMMS Coordinator as needed. Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; technical or Associate’s degree preferred Must have a valid driver’s license. Background in maintenance work with knowledge of mechanical and E/I disciplines. Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and estimating. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, equipment drawings, and P&IDs. Strong experience with communication of technical information – both written and verbal. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power point) and Maximo experience preferred The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB, FSMA, state and federal regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection). Ability to meet physical demands of the job includes but is not limited to: frequent sitting, computer use, telephone use and ability to work independently. Must be able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 60 lbs, and work at heights. While performing this job's duties, the employee is regularly exposed to: mechanical parts dusty conditions high noise environment outside weather in all conditions chemicals used in the process
