About the position

Under the supervision of the Manager, Maintenance Integrity, the incumbent plans and coordinates the duties of outside contractors for curative and preventive maintenance, annual shutdowns and major work in the operational sectors of the terminal, in accordance with the priorities established for the operation. The coordinator works in close cooperation with various groups at the Terminal to ensure that contractors are in compliance with policies and procedures.

The incumbent also assists the Supervisor, Maintenance with their activities and with the monitoring of maintenance interventions. The incumbent must also ensure their replacement and that of the maintenance planner whenever either is absent.

Responsibilities

Provides on-site coordination of various preventive and curative maintenance assigned to them.Manages the Terminal’s fleet of light and heavy vehicles, including the maintenance department’s vacuum truck.Manages service contracts involving snow removal, superintendence, extermination, and so on.Responds to urgent and unplanned requests from internal clients.Does weekly planning and coordination in SAP pertaining to maintenance work involving contractors.Oversees procurement, contract renewals and the coordination of maintenance suppliers in collaboration with the procurement team.Takes part in daily or weekly reviews to coordinate work on the terminal.Is in constant communication with operation to ensure that work is in alignment.Works closely with the engineer and coordinates the work needed for root cause failure (RCFA) studies, management of change studies and other projects to improve equipment reliability.Does on-site surveys for the maintenance engineer and coordinates specialists, as required.Coordinates certain work on other Valero sites in Canada.Provides daily and weekly reports on contractor-related activities.

Assets

Knowledge of SAP software.Functional knowledge of English both orally and in writing.Experience in the petroleum sector.
