Maintenance Coordinator

The Maintenance Coordinator manage a team of professionals on activities for the installation, modification, and maintenance of production equipment. This position oversees full TPM for production equipment, facilities, the machine shop, and the MRO warehouse. He or she is accountable for ensuring optimal operative conditions and equipment availability, providing support for the achievement of the plant objectives for quality, OTD, efficiency, HSE guidelines from internal and external authorities, and team integration / motivation. He or she, should make strong contributions and initiatives for cost reduction in equipment, spare parts and MRO with full proactivity, integrity, and adherence to the company rules and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

 Coordinate the team in charge of maintenance for production equipment, keeping them in safe and good conditions, ensuring availability for plant operations. Responsible for predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance for manufacturing equipment. Create and follow the preventive and predictive maintenance plan along with all the necessary routines, procedures and documentation. Coordinate projects for new equipment, modifications and improvements. Keep maintenance budget in control and actively propose and execute cost saving activities. Implement and promote a culture of safe work environment and risk prevention. Lead the maintenance team and coach them to achieve high levels of satisfaction and quality on their work. Create a motivational work environment for his team. Positively contribute with multidisciplinary teams in continuous improvement projects. Supervise and coordinate projects with contractors. Participate in management of capital projects. Follows all regulations from EHS department. Keep clean, order and safety in all maintenance areas.Contribute to the accreditation of the plant under the ISO and IATF standards.


Qualifications
 English: Conversational advancedBachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited institution. This could be replaced by an extensive professional experience in Maintenance in harness assembly factories.Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance supervision.Experience in manufacturing buildings equipment maintenance.Experience in new equipment introduction and modifications.Experience in tool room and machine shop equipment/devices.Experience supervising projects with contractors.Experience on management of capital projects.Experience leading maintenance team members.Experience in Safety Assessment Acceptance previous to Start of Production


 

Technical knowledge

Wire cutting and terminal application machines is a must.Overmolding machines.Mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics and control.Equipment and installations drawings interpretation.Machining.Equipment integration and sequence automation.Service to facilities equipment like compressors, HVAC, electrical boards, etc.Middle level of English language.Proficient in MS Office toolset.
