Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Chicago, United States. As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, coordinating maintenance activities, and providing exceptional service to our clients and staff.
Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility upgradesManage work order systems, prioritizing and assigning tasks to maintenance staff or contractorsConduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues proactivelyDevelop and maintain maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of all tasksCollaborate with various departments to address maintenance needs and minimize disruptions to operationsManage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levelsCoordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance servicesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activitiesRespond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and coordinate necessary actionsProvide training and guidance to maintenance staff on best practices and safety proceduresAssist in developing and managing maintenance budgetsImplement and maintain preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and facilitiesQualificationsMinimum of three years of experience in facility maintenance or a related fieldValid driver's licenseStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesDemonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issuesProficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbingFamiliarity with safety regulations and proceduresAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprintsJob-related certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry (preferred)Associate's degree in Facilities Management or a related field (preferred)Experience in supervising maintenance staff (preferred)Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as neededAdditional InformationSenior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
