Basic Job Functions:
The person selected for this position will support the Electrical Supervisor of a given area, in the responsibility of all electrical maintenance of that area, to include continuous improvement of the safety culture, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, project coordination and team development, with an emphasis on projects that will produce bottom line results; which also includes interpretation of drawings and manuals for the repair and maintenance of complex equipment systems and machinery The person selected will be expected to lead, motivate, develop, and assist a team; manage large projects from start to completion; communicate well with both production and maintenance; show concern for our customer’s needs; and wisely manage contractors and costs. This position will work Mon-Friday, holidays, and other scheduled/unscheduled overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:6 month’s Industrial Electrical Maintenance Experience

Maintenance Systems and Techniques/Electrical Knowledge - Knowledge of servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment. Knowledge of electrical theory, including troubleshooting, installation, repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment.
Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
Leadership Presence and Courage - Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise. This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.
Preferences:1+ years’ Electrician 1 or equivalent
2+ years’ experience with PLC’s
2+ years’ knowledge in HMI’s and servers
