Maintenance/Electrician

Trade certificate in electrical ,machine/ facility maintenance and repair, including machining, motor controls, plumbing, HVAC and welding.  Equivalent experience may be substituted.

 

Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair.

 

Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience and knowledge required

 

Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. heading, rolling, drilling, heat treat, plating, band annealing, assembly and facility support.)

 

Ability to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics.

 

Familiar with Hydraulics and Pneumatics

 

Fabrication experience required

 

Welding, HVAC, Plumbing and PLC experience a plus

 

Familiar with MS Office suite

 

Team Player

 

Takes initiative and follows directions                                                                                     

 

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.

Responsible for the production of banded parts meeting print and specification requirements, and responsible for the care and maintenance of the equipment.

Summary:

Responsible for performing electrical work and maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment.  Interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment.  Specify and order required repair parts and supplies.  Assure a safe and healthful workplace.  Show by example a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement. Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment. Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
