Maintenance Electrician
**Job Title: Maintenance Electrician** **Job Description** Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, facilities, and electrical systems; respond to emergency calls. Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on plant electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to minimize downtime; evaluate and make recommendations regarding maintenance and repairs. Install new equipment, rebuild and/or fabricate parts not commercially available using hand and other machine tools. Review work orders daily for repair and maintenance of machinery and electrical equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, mixers, packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and other production machines and facility equipment; estimate material requirements and repair and/or replace defective parts as needed; analyze electrical and other operations problems and take corrective action; report all unsafe equipment, machinery, and practices to Maintenance Manager. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, repair supplies, and other materials; obtain quotes for replacement parts and materials and prepare requisitions as needed; maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Work with Engineers to install new equipment, install new lines, and redesign and set up existing production lines. Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment; measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit; replace faulty electrical components including fuses, light sockets, bulbs, relays, switches, and motors; rewire motors; review wiring diagrams, specifications, or instructions from manager for repairs, installations, or inspections to be performed. Install PLC’s, controls, instrumentation, etc., and stay current on these new technologies; train mechanics to troubleshoot and repair instruments and to make electrical repairs within the plants. Install, repair, calibrate, service, and replace electronic devices and systems. Train Line Mechanics in maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment; may lead Line Mechanics in the performance of day-to-day responsibilities or special projects. Prepare reports and maintain records of purchases, daily activities, work orders, preventive maintenance, etc. Perform all work in accordance with quality and safety guidelines and procedures; demonstrate clear understanding of the quality and safety objectives. Safely clean up and dispose of hazardous materials / accumulate hazardous waste generated during maintenance activities. **Hard Skills** + 24V + Schematics + Troubleshooting + Automation + PLC's + VFD's + Controls + Instrumentation experience **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in NA, Tennessee. **Work Environment** Industrial environment, non-temp controlled.
