Maintenance Electrician
**Job Title: Maintenance Electrician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for working on industrial baking equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing breakdowns. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, disassembling, and reassembling machines, as well as working with single and three-phase motors. You will document maintenance activities and ensure the proper operation of various equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance and address breakdowns on mixers, ovens, chillers, conveyors, packaging equipment, and baggers. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on equipment such as HMIs, schematics, and electrical testing tools. + Handle mechanical components like sprockets, gears, and shafts. + Work with automation equipment including sensors and photo eyes. + Maintain and repair vertical baggers, cartoners, inkjet printers, and packaging equipment. + Work with bulk flour systems, including transfer blowers, air-locks, diverter valves, and sifters. + Document daily log reports, emergency breakdown reports, and work orders while communicating with incoming shifts. + Perform maintenance on low voltage and 120-480vac equipment, including starters, motors, VFDs, sensors, and controllers. + Install, debug, and stabilize plant equipment. + Read schematics and blueprints to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues safely. + Support the installation and analysis of new electromechanical equipment. + Repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, metal detectors, and scales. + Test the performance of electromechanical assemblies using test instruments. + Fabricate guards using measuring devices, cutting tools, and welders. + Read and interpret HMI panels to troubleshoot production line faults. + Install electronic parts and hardware using soldering equipment and hand tools. + Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of electrical and mechanical experience. + Experience with PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley or Siemens. + Industrial maintenance experience. + Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting skills. + Formal electrical schooling. + Experience in the bakery industry. **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits, including significant contributions towards medical insurance. The schedule includes six working days per week with a rotating day off. Expect to work at least 48 hours a week across four buildings on site, often walking outside between them. The environment can get hot as it is an older bakery plant.
