Maintenance Electrician
**Job Title: Maintenance Electrician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the safe maintenance, service, and repair of the machinery and equipment located in the Plant. This includes regularly scheduled duties and other tasks as assigned. The Maintenance Electrician must record activities and observations regarding the condition of machinery and equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Electrician assists the Operator with equipment issues. This role ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory codes, with a focus on safety, quality, and food safety. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot complex control systems consisting of PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, instrumentation devices, and communication networks. + Diagnose sources of trouble in operating equipment and perform proper repair or replacement procedures. + Properly perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to isolate and de-energize equipment and systems for maintenance. + Identify and eliminate or report unsafe conditions in the Plant, and perform all tasks in a safety-conscious manner. + Assist the Operator in the operation of equipment when problems arise. + Upgrade skills and knowledge of Plant systems, equipment, and components as directed or required. **Essential Skills** + Electrical aptitude and skill set as evaluated by the Maintenance Manager. + Troubleshooting and maintenance technician skills. + Experience with repair and preventive maintenance. + PLC troubleshooting. + At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician. + A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Industrial experience, ideally within food and beverage manufacturing. + Familiarity with high volume manufacturing. + Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) environment. + Ability to conduct 5S Audits and fix issues at root cause. + Mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, HVAC, installation, and blueprint reading. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire, union position. Employees will work near openings in the floor or ground, and on uneven surfaces. The environment is highly collaborative, requiring teamwork and cooperation among different departments. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of San Leandro, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $83449.60 - $96595.20 This is a unionized position: $100 initiation which is spread across first 10 paychecks, union dues are $49/month.
