Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Job Description

We are looking to add a Maintenance Electrician responsible for the 2nd Shift. Under minimal supervision, you will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment and building safely in accordance with OSHA standards. You will maintain systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives, as well as maintain and improve facilities.

ResponsibilitiesPerform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production hours and off hours as needed.Provide preventative maintenance service to machines, keeping and updating the monthly PM schedule.Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, troubleshooting, and repair.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments.Perform facilities maintenance around the building as needed.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility.Control maintenance budget and spending.Set work hours for department and obtain approval through Manager.Direct and delegate workload to maintenance personnel.Provide direction, counseling, coaching, skill assessment, and training to maintenance personnel.Ensure all processes, procedures, and documentation are OSHA and ISO compliant.Essential Skills10+ years as an industrial maintenance technicianAbility to troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage, 220V, 480V, and 3-phase motorsProficiency in reading and using a fluke meterExperience running wires and installing electrical systems (120-240V)Mechanical troubleshooting including pneumatics, servo drives, and sensorsPLC troubleshootingExperience in creating and following a preventative maintenance scheduleAdditional Skills & QualificationsJourneyman's CardAbility to read blueprints and schematics (some machines are Chinese and do not have manuals)Ability to run pipeExperience with safety training, lockout/tagout proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office and emailWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a well-lit manufacturing environment with a mixture of cultures. The facility produces gas phase filters for hospitals and airports. The 1st shift hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, and the 2nd shift hours are from 2:30pm to 1am (Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
