Maintenance Electronic Technician

What's the job?

The primary function of the Maintenance Electronic Technician is to trouble shoot pneumatics, electronics to the component level, as well as work on PLC ladder logic. The incumbent must work with thermocouples, RTD’s, various level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells, and other high-tech devices.

Salary: $33.64 

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F, weekends as needed on Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Will possess a thorough understanding as well as hands-on experience with electrical &; electronics maintenance principals. Troubleshoot machine break down and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Ability to solve machine operation problems using a skill set of deductive reasoning, and electric test meters. Inspect, replace, or repair non-operational equipment and/or components of equipment that are hindering the equipment from operating efficiently. Test electrical systems, and equipment, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Work closely with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improve equipment reliability. PLC troubleshooting, repair, and programming experience required. Rebuild the components to be used on the equipment in the plant along with reading and interpreting blueprints and layout instructions. Complete understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of electrical principles and adequate skills to understand various plant processes. Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed.
