Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in maintenance engineering? Our hotel or resort is looking for an Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our property remains in top condition for our guests. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

Operational Duties

Perform maintenance and repairs including painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing on resort buildingsPerform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipmentPerform preventative maintenance checksMaintain a clean, well-organized and well stocked work cartMaintain and clean the Engineering facilitiesMonitor and ensure employee compliance with key control policiesMaintain golf carts and other equipment at peak conditionTimely and accurate completion of daily task lists and service logsComply with all OSHA, Health Department and resort regulationsAttend colleague meetings as requiredRegular and predictable attendance

 

Guest Experience Enrichment

Provide guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the resort and resort offeringsRespond to service requests in a timely and accurate manner, liaising with other departments as needed and following up to ensure satisfactionAssist guests in all inquiries in connection with resort services, hours of operations, in-house events, etc.Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possibleEnsure all lost and found goods are reported and stored in accordance with resort standardsResolve guest opportunities in an appropriate and efficient manner, in accordance with resort guidelines; ensures all opportunities are reported through the Guest Opportunity Log

 

Knowledge and Learning

Be intimately familiar with the entire property, all of its amenities and its historyHave a knowledge of safety and security practices and emergency/accident proceduresSuccessfully complete training/certification processMaintain acceptable service audit scoresAttend colleague meetings as requiredParticipate in ongoing training
