Job Description

Grace is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our FCC Catalyst plant at our Curtis Bay, MD facility. This position is part of the Maintenance/Reliability Team and reports to the Lead Reliability Engineer.

This position is embedded in the FCC operating area along with a maintenance supervisor, process engineer, and production engineer(s) in support of the Operations Team. This team is responsible to provide FCC catalyst to our customers safely, on spec, and on time.

Responsibilities Develops and manages equipment maintenance plans for area equipment. Including updating PM, PdM routines, and equipment lists in SAP (CMMS) Tracks, manages, and analyzes area asset reliability data Performs RCFA’s/FMEA’s to ensure long term maintenance equipment problems are appropriately investigated with solutions implemented Identifies critical spares and recommended spare parts inventory levels Identifies and scope’s potential reliability improvement projects Facilitates area Maintenance planning and execution meeting for outages Provides input to weekly maintenance schedules Assists with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs Supports Purchasing/Goods Receipts/New Vendors/Requisitions Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) including, PSSR and Management of Change (MOCs) Manages area equipment files and documentation Manages small projects including contract bidding and supervision to commissioning and startup activities Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Required Qualifications BS in Engineering discipline (ME highly preferred) 5-7+ years Maintenance/Engineering experience in process   manufacturing environment, such as Chemical, Paper, Metals, Refinery  Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action Ability to organize and prioritize Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other maintenance scheduling tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - work with multiple departments to solve problems Understanding of industry design, repair standards and maintenance practices Preferred Qualifications Experience using SAP Preventative Maintenance module Knowledge of Engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc Knowledge of equipment PdM practices such as Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis and Infrared Thermography Knowledge of calciners and kilns Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Life Insurance and Disability Grace Wellness Program Flexible Workplace Retirement Plans  401(k) Company Match – Dollar to dollar up to the first 6% Paid Vacation and Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Company Donation Match Program U.S. Employee Benefits Summary (grace.com) Other Compensation
