Focus: The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for resolving plant issues, driving improvements, and sharing knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team.  The Maintenance Engineer works with other individuals and teams to establish and achieve annual spending plans, production commitments to the business, and cost goals. 


Maintenance Engineer Essential Job Functions:

Serves as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations, as well as providing expertise on troubleshooting failures and repairs Provides leadership and direction in the day-to-day decision making for the operating area of responsibility while networking with other engineers on site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operations For process-critical equipment, ensures that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. and if necessary, provides onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data Shares on-call responsibilities with other plant personnel. Helps coordinate area of responsibility during planned shutdown and maintenance activities Applies skills and technical knowledge to support and develop job scopes, plans and supports execution during projects, turnarounds, shutdowns, and start-ups Maintenance Engineer Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering or Engineering Technology; Mechanical Engineering preferred Minimum of 3 years of project / manufacturing experience Work experience with managing vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids and development of desired solutions for projects preferred Demonstrated knowledge of API standards such as API510, API517, as well as knowledge of OSHA 1910-199 PSM Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
