As a controls technician, you will design install, maintain, and troubleshoot mobile control systems. You will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing various parts such as instruments, valves, disconnects, starters, transmitters, controllers, motor starters, actuators, indicators, and switches. Additionally, you will measure, bend, cut, and install conduit, fittings, and tubing. The role also involves installing, examining, and replacing electrical wires, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, and coaxial cable assemblies. You may also provide virtual support, handle reporting, and data entry tasks.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, install, maintain, and troubleshoot mobile control systems.Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts such as instruments, valves, disconnects, starters, transmitters, controllers, motor starters, actuators, indicators, and switches.Measure, bend, cut, and install conduit, fittings, and tubing.Install, examine, and replace electrical wires, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, and coaxial cable assemblies.Provide virtual support when necessary.Handle reporting and data entry tasks.Essential Skills2 to 3 years of experience with PLC/HMI programming.Ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain 480v systems and equipment.Ability to navigate and interpret schematics.Understanding of electrical circuits.Ability and willingness to travel across the country and into Canada.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with VFD, water treatment, and instrumentation is a plus.Candidates do not need to have previous instrumentation experience as long as they meet the other must-have requirements.Work EnvironmentCandidates will be traveling to customer facilities and working in various industrial environments. This role involves visiting sites across the country and into Canada, supporting industries such as mining, chemical, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, oil & gas, and municipals.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00
