Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform a variety of facility mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will utilize basic tools to execute facility repairs, assure safe and timely execution of all assigned maintenance tasks, and collaborate with team members to ensure satisfactory performance of facilities equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform facility mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs and troubleshooting.Utilize basic tools such as voltmeter, tape measure, electric drill, wrenches, and screwdrivers for repairs.Ensure safe and timely execution of all assigned maintenance tasks with proper documentation.Collaborate and communicate with team members and site customers to minimize impact and ensure satisfactory performance of facilities equipment.Read and understand electrical, piping, and floor plan drawings.Utilize basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, delivery of shipments to customers, and furniture moves.Escort and provide oversight to various vendors supporting maintenance and repairs.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.Understanding of HVAC equipment, including RTUs, fan coils, exhaust fans, and heating hot water boilers.Knowledge of electrical hazards and safety, ability to use a meter, identify power/no power, and understand electrical panels.Ability to change light bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and replace receptacles.Ability to identify leaks, turn off supply water, replace filters, perform minor drain/plumbing repairs, and unclog drain lines.Ability to clean ejector pumps.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of lab water systems, including water softeners, reverse osmosis, and deionized water systems (bonus).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in computer skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work with a team of 4 facilities staff plus 3 temporary workers. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, eventually transitioning to a regular shift of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no on-call requirement, but overtime is available from the time the phone call is answered until returning home.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00
