**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on all plant equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will receive instructions and assignments from the Supervisor and work from blueprints or drawings to plan procedures. The engineer will also develop and implement new mechanical/electrical operations for improvements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair work on plant equipment and machinery as required.
+ Repair, replace, align, adjust, and install parts of plant equipment and machinery.
+ Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
+ Operate equipment and make adjustments to ensure proper operating conditions before handing over to operating personnel.
+ Determine material needs and ensure necessary parts are ordered or made.
+ Direct activities of other maintenance employees under the direction of the maintenance supervisor.
+ Perform necessary welding, brazing, or burning for repairs or lubrication.
+ Perform climbing, rigging, lifting, and hoisting tasks.
+ Conduct minor electrical repairs, pipefitting, maintenance, and construction on plant buildings and facilities.
+ Perform electromechanical and electrical repairs.
+ Transport materials, parts, and supplies to assigned work areas using a forklift truck/cart or other means.
+ Report and/or remedy unsafe working conditions.
+ Keep necessary maintenance records and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

+ Ability to operate drill press, power saw, chain fall, gas and electric welding equipment, forklift truck, portable air tools, measuring devices, miscellaneous hand tools, hydraulic devices, grinding equipment, high lift truck, burning and torching equipment.

The work environment is in a manufacturing facility, which can be dirty. The role involves handling various equipment and machinery, ensuring a dynamic and hands-on work experience.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surgoinsville, Tennessee.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
