Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Olympia, WA

Pay: $45-55/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (On call rotation)

Job Description

We are seeking a Mobile Engineer specializing in HVAC/R to operate, inspect, and maintain all refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, production equipment, and systems in assigned facilities. This role ensures equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient, safe manner, minimizing downtime through anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences. The position involves a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting Refrigeration Systems, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC systems. This is a mobile position covering a 2-hour radius from the base location.

ResponsibilitiesPerform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.Maintain, operate, and repair all Refrigeration and HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repairs, related grounds, and production equipment.Study and become familiar with various equipment and methods required for everyday activities.Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.Complete all required safety training as scheduled and practice defensive driving at all times.Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real time.Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.Perform vehicle safety inspections and escalate problems or issues to customers and managers in a timely manner.Attend work and safety meetings as required.Perform any and all other duties and tasks assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of four years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with experience in the technical aspects of HVAC/R.Experience with diagnosing and repairing walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerators.Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.Knowledge of overall system design and applications.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Type II EPA Certification.License as required by authority having jurisdiction.Additional Skills & QualificationsUniversal EPA Certification.Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.3rd Party Certification.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role involves lifting up to 80 lbs, working from heights, frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead. You will work in adverse conditions such as extreme cold and extreme heat, and drive for long periods. Climbing ladders up to 30 feet with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs is required. Must be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
