Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description

You will be responsible for solving maintenance issues on machining and assembly equipment. This role involves troubleshooting CNC machining, conveyance, robot, and assembly machines. Additionally, you will train maintenance team members on machine function, machine assessment, and repair methods. You should have experience with automated CNC machines, PLCs, manual machines, and tooling. This position requires hands-on involvement and a willingness to take ownership of the process. Responsibilities also include project administration, scheduling, planning, new technology understanding from a maintenance perspective, and documentation.

ResponsibilitiesSolve maintenance issues on machining and assembly equipment.Troubleshoot CNC machining, conveyance, robot, and assembly machines.Train maintenance team members on machine function, machine assessment, and repair methods.Develop documentation for machine assessment.Take ownership of the maintenance process.Schedule and plan projects.Understand new technology from a maintenance perspective.Maintain documentation.Essential SkillsExperience with automated CNC machines, PLCs, and manual machines and tooling.Experience in machine assessment for various pieces of equipment.Ability to develop documentation for machine assessment.Project and administrative scheduling and planning skills.Understanding of machine functions and preventive maintenance plans.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a machining environment.Good communication, documentation, and training skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsDatabase managementSharePoint web developmentWork Environment

You will work from 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM with some overtime. The average workweek is about 50 hours. The manufacturing facility is located near Huntsville, Alabama, and produces engines for cars and trucks. The factory was completed in 2003 and offers a collaborative environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
