**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer**
**Job Description**
The main function of a Maintenance Engineer is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, and be multi-skilled in others.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to keep them up to applicable standards.
+ Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function.
+ Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control.
+ Perform general maintenance and demonstrate technical proficiency.
+ Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
+ Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
+ Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
+ Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
+ Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
+ Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
+ Recognize danger and safety hazards, and propose methods to eliminate them.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
+ Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.
+ EPA 608 Type II Certification.
+ Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
+ Valid driver’s license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ EPA 608 Universal Certification (preferred).
+ Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC (preferred).

**Work Environment**
This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with hours typically from 7-4 or 8-5. Some flexibility can be reviewed with the manager. You will be working across multiple facilities, often at Church locations referred to as Meetinghouse locations. The work environment complies with a no-smoking and no-coffee policy on site property, and requires respectful language and behavior. A company vehicle and tools are provided for site-to-site travel.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Olympia, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
