MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
SUMMARY
Seeking a self-directed, hands-on Maintenance Engineer who will assist in developing, implementing and improving existing manufacturing processes. The candidate selected will provide engineering support for facility maintenance and enhancing equipment reliability and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical assistance to Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting, problem resolution and equipment repair. Drive continuous improvement activities on the production floor. Key success factors include increasing safety, reducing equipment downtime, and improving throughput. Maintain equipment calibrations. Perform root cause analysis and provide support to resolve manufacturing issues. Assist the Maintenance Department with technical guidance and support in the areas of component specification and parts acquisition. Drive machine upgrades and implementation of new technology. Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs, standard operating procedures and/or work instructions. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and parts. Provide input to facility capital projects. QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years of industrial experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic, natural gas, winders, rollers, tension controllers, drives and controls are a plus. Experience with electrical systems and ladder logic is a plus. Highly organized, ability to work on multiple projects, managing scope, tasks, and timelines. Driven self-starter who works with little supervision. Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude Capable of reading machine drawings and electrical circuit schematics. #m1
