Maintenance Engineer
**Job Title: DIE Maintenance Technician** If interested contact Austin @ (517) 455-4718 *** **Objectives** **:** + Ensuring timely and proper repair of damaged dies, minimizing production delays. **Main Responsibilities** **:** 1. **Repairing and maintaining Progressive and Transfer dies** : Core to the role, ensuring the dies are functional and efficient. 2. **Performing preventative maintenance** : Preventing potential die problems by conducting regular checks and maintenance. 3. **Diagnosing and repairing die issues during production** : Troubleshooting and addressing issues as they arise to keep production running smoothly. 4. **Conducting test runs post-repair** : Ensuring repaired parts meet required specifications. 5. **Using forklifts and power jacks** : Transporting dies to and from the tool room as needed. 6. **Operating an overhead crane** : A regular part of the role for moving heavy dies or equipment. 7. **Maintaining a clean and safe work area** : Ensuring the workspace is orderly to promote safety. 8. **Supporting other tool room duties** : Flexibility to assist in other tasks as required. **Experience, Education, and Skill Requirements** **:** + **Education** : High school diploma or GED is required. + **Experience** : At least five years of tool-making or die repair/maintenance experience, particularly with Progressive and Transfer dies. + **Skills** : + Proficient in using tool room equipment (mills, lathes, grinders). + Ability to TIG weld and use grinders/polishers for handwork. + Familiarity with reading blueprints and using the metric system. **Physical Requirements** **:** + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. + Must be comfortable with repetitive motions and standing for extended periods (8-12 hours). + Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling is required. **Summary:** **This role requires a combination of technical skills, including die repair, equipment operation, and a strong physical capacity for handling heavy machinery and performing detailed work. The candidate needs to be versatile, capable of troubleshooting, maintaining safety, and supporting daily operations.** **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfield, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $78624.00 - $85000.00/yr. Direct placement position with full health, vision, dental benefits. Along with 401k.
