Maintenance Engineer
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed. Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment. Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts. Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical/mechanical problems on machinery. Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs. Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, communications, and process control systems. Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment. Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques. + Repair or replace defective components such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring as needed. + Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment. + Keep up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and part replacements. + Assist in mechanical installations as directed. + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical problems on machinery. + Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to identify problems with equipment. + Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs. + Install and service hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control systems. + Support continuous improvement engineers and production departments by suggesting ways to improve equipment reliability and productivity. + Adhere to all safety standards and wear necessary personal protective equipment. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, gears, shafts, and schematics. + Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems. + Ability to troubleshoot 24v-120v electronic systems and up to 480v electrical systems. + Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical manuals. + Experience with welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to understand and troubleshoot ladder logic. + Experience with rollers, gears, bearings, and shafts. + Strong troubleshooting skills across various systems. **Why Work Here?** We offer a clear growth plan with merit-based raises for skills acquisition. There are ample opportunities for overtime. **Work Environment** Industrial environment. The shift hours are 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with every other weekend required when permanent. While on contract, shifts are Monday to Friday. When permanent, the schedule will include 4 days of 12-hour shifts in week 1 and 3 days of 12-hour shifts in week 2. There are opportunities to pick up additional overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newnan, Georgia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
