Your role and responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer ensures that any type of equipment is working properly. They are responsible for routine maintenance and that TPM is performed per manufacturers' guidelines. They also troubleshoot problems and make adjustments to maintenance requirements as needed. The work model for the role is: Onsite. #LI-Onsite.This role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in Columbus, MS.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDefining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.•\tDevelop and maintain spare parts and physical inventory control strategy, including stock vs. buy, on demand strategy, and work to communize spare parts across machines•\tSolving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.•\tProposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.•\tTracks downtime and repair costs and formulates maintenance metrics and KPIs to justify major rebuild or new acquisition.•\tResponding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.Our team dynamicsYou will join a talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4+ years related experience in manufacturing and assembly operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and TPM\tUnderstanding of and experience with preventative and predictive maintenance, and developing maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, etc). \tExperience developing and maintaining a spare parts inventory and strategy. \tAn understanding of engineering drawings and principles.\tCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Qualifications: \tExperience working with automated systems and equipment (PLCs, Robotics, CNC Machines, etc). \tExperience working with electrical equipment and components (wiring, panels, etc).
