Maintenance Engineer
We have an outstanding career opportunity for aMaintenance Engineerto join a leading Company located in theGreeneville, TN surrounding area. We are seeking a talented and motivated Maintenance Engineer to enhance our Maintenance Department. Job Responsibilities: Drive Capital Projects + Take the lead in specifying, designing, and managing installations that enhance plant equipment and processes, boosting productivity and reducing operating costs. + Craft compelling capital cost justifications to support impactful improvements. Enhance Preventive Maintenance + Develop, document, and optimize preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and throughput. + Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement strategic corrective actions while leveraging the CMMS system to continuously improve PM effectiveness . Provide Technical Expertise + Offer valuable technical support to maintenance personnel during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring smooth operations. Forecast Spare P art s Needs + Anticipate spare parts requirements and collaborate with the Tool Room to effectively manage inventory based on critical equipment needs. Evaluate Equipment Needs + Assess and recommend upgrades, rebuilds, and replacements for equipment to ensure peak performance. Coordinate Projects + Work collaboratively with engineering resources, operations, maintenance staff, and contractors to schedule and oversee projects seamlessly. Additional Opportunities: + Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and supervising both internal and external maintenance services, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. + Maintain our work order system and actively participate in safety, environmental, and ISO audits. + Engage in key administrative activities related to employee safety, development, and organizational objectives. + Champion lean, quality, and teamwork initiatives to foster a culture of excellence within the plant. Basic Hiring Criteria: + Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. + A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or maintenance environment, ideally in an engineering or maintenance support role. + A blend of education and relevant experience will also be considered . + Capital project experience is preferred. + Preventative maintenance experience is preferred. + Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience. Metal industry experience is a plus, not a must-have.
