What You Will Do

Operate high pressure boilers, turbines, high voltage generators, and auxiliary equipment at an on-site cogeneration plant that produces electricityMonitor control board and regulates equipment, according to procedures and information obtained from recording and indicating instrumentsMake repairs & modifications to equipment, including preventative maintenance in Power Plant and FacilitiesResponsible for parts ordering and inventoryOther duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

Snow Removal Equipment (including 2-yard bucket End loader)Complete Confined Space and Hazmat TrainingConduct chemical analysis on various equipment/water.Complete Basic Electrical TrainingComplete First Aid/CPR/AED TrainingPerform Basic Mechanical and Plumbing RepairKnowledge of computer systems including OutlookOther duties as assigned by supervisor

Position Details:

Location: Naperville, ILWork hours: 12:00AM – 8:30AM with at least 1 weekend dayWork weeks available: Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday - ThursdayCompensation Package: $38 / hour to start (each new employee must complete a 2-year program that includes up to a 3% increase in pay in 6-month increments pending successful completion)Facility Amenities: On-site fitness center (free to employees) and daycare facility (competitive rates)

Minimum Qualifications:  

High School Diploma/GED2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or military environment OR a technical degree or diploma in a maintenance mechanical/electrical discipline ​

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform all physical dutiesMust be able to climb ladders, lift 75lbs.Must be capable of completion of hazmat trainingAble to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places.Must be able to pass background check, drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with an emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation, and air conditioning, boiler operations.1 year of experience with PLC based applications in an industrial environment1 year of plumbing, pipefitting, pump repair and rebuilding experienceExperience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging.Experience in a TPM or Lean Six Sigma environment Refrigeration CertificationWelding experienceSnow Removal ExperienceStationary Engineers License

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$38.00 / hour Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
