We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Engineer Intern to join our team in Santa Ana. This internship provides a unique opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in maintenance engineering, project management, and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will work alongside seasoned professionals, applying academic knowledge in a practical setting while contributing to key operational and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Support Maintenance and Operations: Assist with the monitoring and control of maintenance costs and help ensure the timely resolution of unplanned repairs and issues.Work Order Follow-up: Collaborate with team members to track and close out open work orders.Preventative Maintenance: Assist in ensuring routine preventive maintenance procedures are executed efficiently.Parts Management: Aid in improving the system for parts management and help obtain necessary parts for safety upgrades.Safety and Compliance: Support regulatory compliance efforts, including safety audits, accident investigations, and ensuring adherence to EPA, OSHA, and state safety requirements.Reporting and Documentation: Assist with maintaining mandatory safety reports, machine evaluations, and records of safety inspections.Safety Committees and Training: Participate in the Plant Safety Committee, support training programs, and help with safety inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.Process Improvement: Provide recommendations to enhance productivity, safety, and the overall efficiency of the maintenance processes.Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).Previous manufacturing or project management experience (through internships or academic projects) is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA is a plus.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Project Management experience is a plus, but not required.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00
