Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will liaise with client departments and customers, monitor and control maintenance costs, and support with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a flexible schedule, and it can lead to a full-time position.
ResponsibilitiesLiaise with client departments and customersMonitor and control maintenance costsSupport with emergency and unplanned problems and repairsFollow up on open work ordersEnsure preventative maintenance is being performed routinelyObtain necessary parts for safety upgradesImprove system for parts managementUpdate records for machine evaluationsParticipate in daily LPMS meetingsSupport with assuring safety and environmental related regulatory compliance issues are met, as well as the preparation, updating, and implementation of company safety policies/standardsParticipate in Plant Safety CommitteeAnalyze, prepare, and maintain mandatory/regulatory related safety reports and recordsSupport accident investigations, safety inspections, and auditsSupport plant emergency plan related activitiesSupport investigations and reporting process as it relates to general Workers Compensation liability claimsSupport training at all levels of the organization to promote optimum safety and environmental performance and coordinate training required by EPA, OSHA, and state regulatory agenciesProvide recommendations to production/facilities improvements to enhance productivity and safetyPerform other duties as assignedEssential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringProficient in MS ExcelPrevious Manufacturing/Project Management experience from projects/internshipsExperience in project management, maintenance, manufacturing, and troubleshootingAdditional Skills & QualificationsVBA experience preferredAttention to detailStrong communication skillsPrevious manufacturing experience through projects/internships is preferredWork Environment
You will be working 100% onsite with a 7 or 8 AM start time, 40 hours per week. The environment is moderate to loud, working around equipment and machinery. You will spend around 40% of your time in an office setting and 60% on the production floor. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
