Location: Story City, IA Summary: Support a machine parts inventory and procurement program. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following: + Reverse engineering of specific machine parts. + Creating detailed 2D AutoCad drawings of parts, including multiple views, complete dimensioning, proper tolerances, and BOM. + Research and identify machine shops capable of manufacturing parts. + Partner with the purchasing department to request parts quotes. + Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field Proficient in AutoCAD Software Capable of using measuring tools including tape measure, micrometers, verniers, etc Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as Ohm’s Law, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
