Salary:
$115,000-$130,000
This position is eligible to participate in the Signode annual bonus program with a target of 10% of base salary.
Summary
The Maintenance Engineer Manager will collaborate with several leaders inside the organization as well as outside vendors to ensure the plant equipment and facilities are maintained at the highest level.
This role will also be responsible for managing reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve established performance metrics.
Essential Functions
Primary responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring successful completion of machine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and continuous improvement of equipment and operating practicesPrioritize, develop, and implement solutions and strive to increase equipment reliability, efficiency and effectiveness ensuring that the facility and equipment are maintained at the highest level and run efficiently.?Ensuring root cause analysis of failures are identifiedCoordinate and implement preventive maintenance activities; provide guidance to peers to ensure optimum production, quality and safety while minimizing cost, energy usage, and waste in accordance with corporate policies and health/safety regulations. Arrange, conduct, and coordinate the internal safety inspections and follow up with deficiencies and recommendationsEnsure facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards, and fiscal considerationEvaluate long-term needs in relation major projects and property improvementCoordinate, arrange and supervise the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with agency operating procedures, practices, and financial considerationsEstablish procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment requiring motor repairs on a frequent basisSecure major equipment bids and makes recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is equipmentProvide staff training in a variety or safety and maintenance topics including: effective utilization of maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to the facility, equipment operations, multimedia safety trainingDevelopment of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safetyParticipate in annual budget preparation as it relates to the safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipmentMaintain Preventative Maintenance program for all major equipment or as specified by the Plant ManagerManages all labor costs and determines whether work is to be completed in-house or out-sourced; while keeping in mind the overall competencies of the plant maintenance staffInitiate the purchase of all repairs and maintenance components, including outsourced fabrication and contract laborMaintains appropriate replacement and repair parts including accurate inventoriesAll other duties as assignedPosition Qualifications
Education:
College degree in Engineering or Business field requiredExperience:
5 years Previous Supervision experience is required5 years Maintenance/ Engineering experience in a fast paced manufacturing setting is required.Must be computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skillsExperience in estimating maintenance and repair costsFunctional Success Drivers:
