Seeking an experienced engineer to perform a variety of functions during the development of performance-based product support strategies\/packages and the sustainment of systems and components throughout all stages of the acquisition lifecycle. The functions will include but may not be limited to the preparation, review and revision of System Maintenance Strategies, Technical Manual sources material, Repair of Bills of Material (BOMs), reviewing and maintaining a technical data package. Develop and review maintenance concepts by performing Level of Repair Analyses (LORAs). Evaluate the ability to conduct repairs and testing of both contractors and organic facilities. Candidate will also be well-versed in the conduct of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACAS). In addition, candidate will have familiarity with configuration management and developing quality management plans. Specifically, the ability to review and creating engineering change proposals, understand basic principles of configuration management, and how to incorporate quality acceptance limits into depot product acceptance testing. The engineer will also be required to prepare and provide technical input to contracting documents (Performance Work Statements, Independent Government Estimates, etc.)\n

Ancillary duties will also include maintaining administrative awareness of ongoing projects and taskings, conducting and participating in project reviews and briefings, both formal and informal. Other tasks\/duties may be assigned to support the overall engineering focus areas.\n

Responsibilities:\n\n\n

Utilize your knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of IPS functions for one or more acquisition programs (i.e. maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; supply support: support and test equipment; training and training devices; technical data; computer resources support; and packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and facilities).\n\n\n

Assist in the development and execution of product support strategies and product support packages involving planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for acquisition programs, including both hardware and software.\n\n\n

Provide ILS\/production support on acquisition logistics management activities, including development of acquisition logistics documentation and evaluating the regulatory requirements to develop, field, and transition equipment \/ software\n\n\n

Expertise in:\n\nA working knowledge and fundamental understanding of lifecycle management principles and logistics surrounding the sustainment and fielding of military communications and electronic systems.\nCandidate should have a strong understanding of electrical\/electronic component functions, applications, assembly, packaging, and testing, and related terminology, as well as a basic understanding of other component types (mechanical, electro-mechanical).\nCandidate should have experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets.\nPosition requires strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn custom databases\/software-search solutions.\nPosition requires strong oral\/written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.\nExperience using File Repository\/Knowledge management applications (e.g. SharePoint, Github, Windchill, and\/or Vault).\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nAccredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering\nOne Year of Relevant Experience\n\n

Preferred Qualifications:\n\nKnowledge of and experience in the Army Maintenance Engineering.\nSpecialized experience developing Maintenance Concepts and documenting them in a Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC)\nWriting and reviewing Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) or Engineering Change Notice (ECN)\nDeveloping reliability and maintainability inputs for the Level of Repair Analysis\nOverseeing Technical Manual development to accurately capture the required Maintenance and associated troubleshooting processes.\nPreparing Logistics Demonstration Plans\nDevelops maintenance related inputs for the Basis of Issue Plan (BOIP)\nReviewing Previsioning Parts List (PPL) and Repair Parts and Special tools Listing (RPSTL)\nWriting and Reviewing Item Unique Identification (IUID) plans and overseeing the preparation of label's,\nExperience with current military communications and electronics systems.\nExperience with Satellite Communications and Radio Frequency communications is highly desirable.\nExperience implementing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) practices at system and component levels in modern communications and electronics systems.\nExperience with Commercial Parts Research Databases such as MORE, IHS Haystack Gold, Total Parts Plus and QStar.\nExperience writing\/preparing contracting documentation (SOW, PWS, IGEs, etc.)\nConducting and\/or supporting product support analysis as described in AR 700-127\n\n
