Job details We are looking for a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer for our food manufacturing client in Middlesex, NC. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing a team of Maintenance Technicians as they troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activity programs as well as providing technical support to the Maintenance and Engineering Departments in continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities:
- Collaborating and participating in operations and maintenance work scope, developing and executing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activity programs, as well as providing technical support to the -
- Maintenance and Engineering Department in continuous improvement activities.
- Working closely with the Engineering Manager and the Maintenance Department in developing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance plans for equipment that is required from their start-up and throughout their life cycle.
- Suggesting specific activities for inspection, lubrication, cleaning and changing of parts to the equipment, based on recommendations from the manufacturer, the supplier and other criteria.
- Promoting ongoing improvement in equipment and administrative procedures.
- Analyzing equipment Maintenance history, investigate repetitive failures in order to evaluate effectiveness Maintenance Programs.
- Manage maintenance work order planning, scheduling process,
- Utilize our purchasing systems to make purchases, track purchases and ensure that the process to facilitate on-time vendor payment is executed.

Working hours: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
- Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical fields
- Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred/cement preferred (2 - 3 years minimum); experience in aseptic food manufacturing industry a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and detail oriented
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Experience with Maintenance CMMS and NetSuite is preferred
- Knowledge of inspection routes, oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound to assess equipment health and plan corrective actions is preferred or willing to learn as part of building Preventive Maintenance Program.
- May occasionally supervise 3rd party contractors.
- Will Participate in Plant Safety Committee.

Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Strong organizational skills a must
- Must have the ability to work overtime, on-call and off-shifts as the job requires
- Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, PFD's and P&ID's and work orders to perform required preventive and corrective maintenance.
