To support that challenge, the Maintenance team is currently seeking an Electric Engineering Co-op in St. Gabriel, LA.  The co-op engineering student program is a continuous full-time position. This 30+ year program is open to Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering students who will get to work in the demanding world of chemical facility maintenance.

Estimated Duration:  May 2025 – August 2026 

You will: 

Perform equipment studies for reliability engineering Create sketches and part drawings for fabrication  Develop testing and feasibility studies using fundamental engineering principles Scope and execute small capital projects Develop equipment repair procedures and check-sheets Assist Maintenance Engineers in daily work

Qualifications

What you must have: 

Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program with a Junior class standing and good academic standing with the university Relevant core basic science/engineering classes through Sophomore level: (ie Physics, Chemistry, Fluids Mechanics, Statics, Strengths, Thermodynamics, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent Fluent in English Minimum GPA 2.5 overall/major
