JOB SUMMARY: Individual will receive and expedite service work requests from the various Northgate Markets as well as the Northgate facilities. Individual is part of the Maintenance team.
WORK SCHEDULE: It is a 6 day work week with alternating Saturday and Sunday off. It is a varied schedule, shift schedule can vary between 7 am and 7 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive and coordinate service calls via phone, fax and email and maintenance software system. Generate and maintain information logs; record invoice documents accurately on the receiving log and place signed invoices in the designated secured area; be familiar with invoice documents and confirm accuracy of item descriptions, sizes, quantities and pricing during department product deliveries. Maintain great communications in the store and departments throughout the organization. Continually update the maintenance software system with request status to provide the stores with real time information on the service requests. Ensure stores receives the service they requested and work is performed to the company’s standards. Dispatch the appropriate technician and/or vendor for each service request taking in mind cost, response time and urgency to determine the best outcome for the store. Periodically assist maintenance warehouse with inventory audits. Constant data entry to update assets status including new and obsolete equipment. Perform monthly billing to the stores for the maintenance technician’s hours. Continually communicate with vendors to follow up on pending service requests. Coordinate special projects/repairs after hours with store personnel and other departments. Conduct planned power outages to conduct generator repairs. Prioritize service requests and dispatch technicians based on the urgency behind each request determining if they will affect sales, safety and/or compliance. Assist the Construction Department in coordinating projects that will affect the store’s operations. Notify maintenance manager of personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance or of situations requiring disciplinary action. Assist with the scheduling of preventative maintenance work with the stores (e.g. hydro-jetting, grease interceptor pumping, etc.). Maintain logs on project, equipment and part pricing to ensure price integrity. Locate and order parts for maintenance technicians. Maintain records on inspections for fire, health, and government mandated inspections to ensure compliance (e.g. grease interceptor pumping, backflow testing, fire sprinkler, ansul, etc.). Assist Maintenance Supervisor and/or manager with special tasks pertaining to the job. Observe all company rules and policies; adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes. Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
Education/Experience
High school diploma required; some college background preferred; or equivalent education.Mathematical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual: Spanish and English. Able to work in a team environment, coordinating work flow closely with other expeditors, the accounts payable department, project managers, and store directors. Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand instructions for operating electronic equipment and tools, company handbooks, policies and procedures and other written job‑related documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals including effective departmental memos, employee action notices, "menus", and customer signs or sales suggestions. Ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages for assistance, to accommodate verbal requests from customers for information or assistance, to answer telephones, and to be able to communicate effectively with others. Self starter who is capable of managing multiple projects and meeting critical deadlines. Be able to pass a standard drug test and qualify as being “drug‑free” under the legal and medical guidelines permitted by the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
