General Maintenance positions are responsible for:keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery.Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively.Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.  Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.  Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.  Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and be willing to participate in job rotation.  Requirements:Candidate must have prior mechanical experience or schooling including a general knowledge of machinery maintenance and lubrication listed in the work history.must be capable of training in high tech machinery maintenance and operation.Industrial electrical knowledge, experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication are all a plus.Must possess the ability to learn troubleshooting skills and use the computerized maintenance program.Must be able to move through the Maintenance Skills Training Program passing all required levels in the allotted time frame as listed in our training policy.Failure to pass will result in change of pay and change in position or possible termination of employment.No Applicants that complete an application and do not meet the criteria described in this statement will be removed from the application process.
