What You Will Do
Responsible for providing leadership and guidance around safety and operations of the Physical Plant and exterior buildings. Maintain and operate high pressure steam boilers, absorption chillers, steam turbines, high voltage generators, and auxiliary equipment at an on-site cogeneration plant that produces combined heat and power (CHP).
Monitor control board and regulates equipment, according to procedures and information obtained from recording and indicating instrumentsFacilitate repairs & modifications to equipment, including preventative maintenance in Power Plant and FacilitiesResponsible for parts ordering and inventoryCoordination of work with outside contractorsProvide coaching and mentoring of Maintenance EngineersOn call for emergency repairsOther duties as assignedUtility Job Responsibilities:

Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with an emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation, and air conditioning, boiler operations.Prior coaching or leadership skills preferred1 year of experience with PLC based applications in an industrial environment1 year of plumbing, pipefitting, pump repair and rebuilding experienceExperience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging.Experience in a TPM or Lean Six Sigma environment Refrigeration CertificationWelding experienceSnow Removal ExperienceStationary Engineers LicenseBenefits
