Responsibilities

The Maintenance HVAC Repair Technician’s Work includes troubleshooting, installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining HVAC/R systems and components such as boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, air handling and refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities also include maintaining buildings. This would include maintenance on other building equipment along with general carpentry and repair work including but not limited to drywall repair, light bulb replacement, replacing ballasts, and painting. 

 

Responsible for ensuring that all tooling, electronics, software, and company- issued property are kept in working order per the preventative maintenance programs. Involves: completing basic repairs necessary to maintain the proper operating condition of production and facility equipment; performing preventive maintenance tasks as defined by the preventive maintenance program; and assisting in complicated production and facility equipment repairs and functions; and supporting all facility modifications. Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations personnel, and Leadership teams. Apply and enforce all safety procedures and precautions necessary to prevent equipment and facility dangers to company personnel. Procure necessary repair parts and services to support repairs and maintenance. Includes managing inventory of all purchased, consumed, and spare parts. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment related issues, while minimizing downtime. Must be able to demonstrate problem solving skills. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as a self starter. Proficient with all Mircosoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Teams.  Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-year or 4-year technical degree preferred; related experience and certifications will be considered. Minimum 1 year of experience (3 years preferred) in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment required, or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience (3 years preferred) in a HVAC/R role.  Proficient in working with hand and power tools. Experience working with 480 VAC and lower voltages, wiring electrical cabinets, troubleshooting with electrical meters, amp clamps, mergers, etc. preferred. Experience in Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, equipment and components preferred.  About Hamilton Diverse portfolio of exciting and innovative design projects.Tremendous opportunities for professional growth.Commitment to sustainable design.Competitive compensation.Excellent benefit package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation time, paid sick time, disability insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement and much more.Solid stable company.Must pass drug and background screens.May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (provided by employer).
