Job Description

Position Overview:

Responsible for operation and excellent understanding of the Injection equipment and overall flow of product. Operation of Injection manufacturing equipment involves processing and mechanical adjustments to the machine and its components to obtain high quality production output that meets or exceeds customer expectations. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

Maintains standard production objectives through proper machine operation and records production accuratelyMakes all necessary machine adjustments during Start-ups and maintains consistent machine operation and product quality in terms of customer specifications (i.e., bottle height, volumetric, top-load, visual defects, section weights, finish dimensions, etc.)Performs quality assurance tests using appropriate measuring devices and basic math skills, and enters resultant data into the computer system, and has authority to stop production due to quality issuesUnderstand start up and shut down procedures necessary to minimize downtime and equipment wear and tearEnsure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipmentImprove the production equipment, utilities, efficiency and reliabilityActively participates in Quality training and Good Manufacturing Practice meetings to assist in continuous improvement of plant operationsRecommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate any necessary elements following a problem or a projectFlexible-need to be available for Overtime when required and covering for vacationKnowledge and ability to perform systems room checkOperate a forklift as neededOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to prioritize tasks Knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic equipment/proceduresHave basic knowledge in electricity and controlMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMust be able to coordinate movements quickly and accurately in a high output production areaMust willingly accept any other duties/changes to position to fit the needs for production as requested by ManagerHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 3 years in a high speed manufacturing environmentTravel 0%
