This role requires strong knowledge of procurement practices, supplier negotiation and communication, electro/mechanical equipment and reliability best practices. The coordinator is responsible overall managing and maintaining a well-organized and catalogued storeroom with “Just In Time” supply while rigidly maintaining stores budget compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management of maintenance storage room for Production Machinery spare components Operations Maintenance spare parts buying and planning Update and maintain the physical parts inventory using Computerized Maintenance Management System (MicroMain). + Daily order report from Micromain to determine the days order requirements as a daily worksheet to accomplish + Place orders daily based on replenish reports + Weekly report analysis on inventory in Micromain + Min/Max/OnHand – Overstock or Understock + Update the system as changes are needed + Place orders as needed to set inventory correct + Daily cycle-counts of current inventory to ensure accuracy + Adjustments made as necessary + Accountable and empowered to ensure all employees follow the rules of obtaining parts and all transactions are done correctly + From daily usage reports + Training to employees out of compliance + Recommend corrective action for repeat offense Establish and maintain proper inventory levels of equipment components and hardware in accordance to company budget requirements. (Min/Max/Reorder points) + Design MicroMain reports: + Replenishment – Procurement function + Inventory compliance reports + Cycle count reports + Inventory accuracy report + Setup of all purchasing inventory requirements + Min/Max/ReOrder point based on use history, criticality, leadtime, number of machines with like components + Using standard calculations/mathematics for all components in inventory + Routine review, maintenance and upkeep to ensure accuracy due to change + Determine and maintain a proper report of total parts and value of parts with full justification of total inventory value + This will be by part each machine component + Hardware will be based on usage and need in more of a validated bulk requirement + Responsible for design and maintenance of efficient parts storage, easy access and easy inventory. + Proper locations for ease of acquiring as well as proper condition of part + Signage on all racks for ease of location + Barcode system on all racks that works in conjunction with MicroMain for ease of research, location and access as well as simplified inventory and cycle counting processes. Manage and maintain the asset tag process to ensure all components are correctly accounted for. Responsible for use and maintenance of CMMS purchasing system to maximize equipment “uptime” to inventory value balance Create and distribute PM packages as planned for scheduled routines i.e. Tools, components and materials as well as prints, schematics and instructions Order necessary parts and communicate with outside vendors on a daily basis. Work closely with and distribute parts to all production mechanics. Assist with any cleaning for re-inventory, when necessary. Responsible for component rebuild program where applicable to include communication and tracking product shipment and return. Supplier negotiation on parts costs and other opportunities such as supplier held inventory, consignment etc. Maintain and distribute shop tools. Oversee and maintain the machinists’ tools and equipment. Maintain limited access to parts area. Track the repair, rebuild and fabrication of all parts and accessories necessary for production and facility equipment for first, second and third shifts. Provide preventive maintenance schedules and track for completion. Maintain safety procedures and good housekeeping. Maintain the storage area to 5-S protocol for safety, equipment condition and ease of use for technical team Comply with company rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives. Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE + 2 year degree in technical major + 5 years of experience in a reliability based maintenance/mechanical group + 5 years of experience in procurement of industrial components + Negotiation experience COMPETENCIES + Knowledge of computers, keyboarding and word processing software + Organized and detail oriented + Ability to deal with people, Negotiation skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills
