Job ID#210221** Pay Rate: $15 - $20/hr **Job Description:** Seeking a responsible Custodian to maintain our facilities at our Northridge facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian/janitor to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep. They will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs. **Responsibilities:** * Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces * Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets * Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.) * Wipe mirrors and windows * Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors * Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department * Other duties as assigned. **Requirements:** * Previous custodial experience required * Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances * Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work * Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components * Attention to detail and conscientiousness * Ability to climb ladders and work from heights * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds * Good physical condition and strength **Education/Experience Requirements:** * High school diploma or GED required * 4 years custodial work experience Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
