FUNCTION

Facilitate a safe, Clean, and efficient operation of CKAS buildings, quarters, and grounds.

Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

Receive work order assignments, gather tools/equipment necessary, and complete work in a timely mannerRegular checks on a/c and heat units, all other major appliances, lighting and plumbing fixtures, walls, cabinets, baseboards, and flooring. Makes and minor repairs needed and communicates with Property manager if anything extensive needs repairPreforms exterior building maintenance as needed including pressure washing, trash/debris pick up, etc.Take donations from Hanger lodge and administration building to Clothing/food bank dailyAssist in IT associate with cables/wires, moving and setting-up of equipment when neededRespond to emergency situations during and after work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns, including being on-call to drive disaster vehicle/canteenSet up and take down event furnishing/equipmentHelp maintain a clean and organized storage building, maintenance room, basement, and auxiliary buildingsClean corps building/grounds as needed including but not limited to trimming bushes, weeding, mulching, debris removal, sidewalk maintenance, planting and maintaining foliageSnow and ice removal of Lexington corps, sidewalk to be clear by 7:30 am on weekdays, 9am on SundaysAssist Property manager with monthly drillsDrive the Salvation Army vehicle when needed for supplies, donations, etc.Adheres to and complies with company and OSHA safety policies and rules, wearing PPE as directed.Assist with daily cleanings of administration and fellowship areasAdheres to Salvation army policies and procedures, maintains confidentialityProvide any services needed in the property department for the efficient functioning of The Salvation Army Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or equivalentValid Driver’s licenseMaintenance/custodian work preferredAbility to assess repairs and act on them when neededAbility to work in moderately difficult environments (heights, small spaces, differing temps, dust, etc.)Verbal and written communication skills
