Maintenance - Jersey Shore
SUMMARY:   Maintenance is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all assets in the production facility including routinely performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient plant operations. To work in a safe, quality minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled. Suggest design improvements and process changes to improve overall production.  Must have working knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, electrical and PLC. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •    Comply with company handbook policy, safety, environmental and OSHA regulations.  •    Effectively troubleshoot production and facility equipment, analyze mechanical or operational problems and take corrective action.  •    Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures. •    Confers with other supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities.  •    Perform preventive maintenance of equipment, calibrations (as assigned) and on-demand repairs of equipment based on CMMS PM schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). •    To respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and repair the machinery in a timely manner. •    Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current GMP Manufacturing practices.  •    Advises supervisors of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action required. •    Uses multimeter and schematics when troubleshooting electrical circuits. •    Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.  •    Works with and oversees vendors and/or contractors on projects as assigned.  •    Cleans and organizes work place to ensure both operating and safety conditions. •    Participate in Safety audits and HARM reviews.  •    Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: •    This job has no supervisory responsibilities except oversight of on-site vendors and contractors as assigned related to the job duties and responsibilities section.    Qualifications •    High School Diploma •    Valid Driver License •    Able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work.  •    Must have three years of maintenance experience in a highly technical environment. •    Must have good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical/instrumentation equipment. •    Understanding of GMPs, SOPs, Lock Out Tag Out, and OSHA regulations •    Strong interpersonal skills •    Ability to use hand tools and electrical meters. •    Ability to use shop power tools.   •    Ability to read site plans, schematic drawings, and building plans. •    Ability to work from a ladder •    Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite Products, Preferred - CMMS systems, PLCs  •    Ability to be stand for long periods of time and work outdoors as needed. •    Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas. •    Must be able to lift minimum 35lbs.  •    Able to work weekends, rotating shifts for extended production or PM work when not in production. •    Preferred - Experience in a highly regulated environment (Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical manufacturing) •    Preferred - Forklift Trained  •    Preferred - Electrical Qualified Worker •    Preferred - HVAC experience   COMPANY COMPETENCIES: •    Diversity - Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy; Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; Educates others on the value of diversity; Promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce. •    Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. •    Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments. •    Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality. •    Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
