• Develop and implement strategic plans for highway maintenance and operations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Oversee maintenance of highways, including repairs, resurfacing, and upkeep of signage and barriers.
• Manage snow removal, deicing, and other weather-related operations.
• Coordinate with construction teams for highway expansion or modification projects.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets for highway operations and maintenance.
• Prepare Annual Maintenance Plan for all Road Projects.
• Allocate resources efficiently for optimal operation of highways.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance staff, engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure staff adherence to safety standards and protocols.
• Coordinate with emergency services for accidents or natural disasters.
• Implement crisis management plans.
• Incorporate new technologies and methodologies to enhance operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and adapt best practices.
• Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and community groups.
• Address public concerns and feedback regarding highway conditions and projects.
• Must have knowledge of Codes / Rules pertaining to road maintenance (Civil / Electrical / Structures / IT).
• Should be able to make cost estimates for maintenance requirements.
• Optimize the cost for maintenance requirements.
• Should be able to provide effective methodology for completing the identified works.
• Ensure compliance of documentations / Submission of required data to Authority - - weekly / fortnightly / monthly / yearly.
• Ensure compliances of surveys.
• Meet the authorities / IE and visit sites.
Educational Qualification: BE / B.Tech - Civil Engineering
Experiences: Minimum of 15 years of experience in highway maintenance, operations, or a related field.
