Workplace Arrangement:
Direct maintenance staff on emergency breakdown situations to ensure
breakdowns are handled in a timely manner communicate with production
leads/supervisors on status of breakdowns and when work is complete.
Key responsibilities
Ensure mechanics are following work schedule provided by maintenance
planner and perform audits of work orders in the MVP system to ensure time
is properly accounted for.
Audit of the preventative maintenance program to ensure that PMs are
updated to reflect equipment and assist with new PM development.
Cover for the maintenance planner when absent -perform scheduling and run
daily reports as needed.
Follow up with maintenance planner on project overruns or interruptions.
Significant jobs or projects visited at least 3 times daily.
Balance motivation and discipline within the maintenance team.
Give adequate time and attention to on-the-job training of maintenance staff.
Responsible for maintaining work area(s) in a safe, neat and orderly
condition.
Continued training and skill development is strongly encouraged.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skillsQualifications:
2-year technical degree in related field. Other related certifications.
Strongly prefer a stable employment history with at least 2 years of continuous employment at one employer within the last 5 years.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Food industry experience.
Experience working on some of the following industrial equipment:
extruders, vertical form fill & seal machines, drying ovens, air compressors,
cartoners, case packers, and boilers.
Forklift experience.
