Maintenance Lead - Commerce, CA

Primary Purpose: Maintenance Lead performs general maintenance and repairs of HVAC, Liquid Fillers, Boilers, Air Compressors, Electrical, Plumbing, Warehouse, and other building systems and maintains all the maintenance records.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating the facility maintenance program to ensure all maintenance is completed as scheduled. Evaluates systems or facilities to resolve maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Works with plant management team to plan work priorities, acquire necessary supplies and assess skills and time needed to complete tasks. Assist with capital project work as assigned. Collaborates with engineering department as needed. Use Computerized Maintenance Management System to accurately lead work orders from inception to closure. Completes necessary research for non-standard maintenance & repairs requiring the purchase of materials and/or employment by outside contractors or vendors. Manages contractors on site and serves as site contact. Complete all required maintenance paperwork. Performs manual warehouse duties as assigned. Completes various welding, piping, and fabrication projects, as assigned. Completes general Tank Farm maintenance including tank/pump and hose inspections Provides mentorship and assistance to less senior maintenance workers. Serve on company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team. Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Education/Training

High School Diploma or GED with additional schooling or equivalent maintenance experience Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Should have 3-5 years of experience in maintenance of production equipment The ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English

 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck and aerial lifts according to company procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment. Ability to learn accurate methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training. Ability to drive truck- Class A license, preferred (not required). Safe operation of power tools. Ability to work on roof tops or other great heights. Have a driver's license and clean driving record.

 

PAY & BENEFITS:

The salary range for this position is $75200-$112800. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.   Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental.  We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
