Description:
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Maintenance Lead/Electrician to join our Camp Services team in Northern British Columbia. As Maintenance Lead/Electrician, you will be responsible for the overall electrical maintenance program for the lodge. The Maintenance Lead/Electrician will be overseeing and executing a wide range of electrical maintenance tasks and ensuring the reliability and safety of all electrical systems within the camp.
The rate for this position is $42.00 an hour. Rates may be subject to change.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform a variety of electrical maintenance tasks, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. Schedule, plan and complete or oversee the completion of quarterly, semi and annual preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies. Respond to electrical work order requests and emergencies promptly, assess the situation, and implement appropriate solutions to minimize disruption and potential hazards. Maintain and follow provincial and company Occupational Health and Safety Programs at all times, being adequately experienced, trained and equipped to safely complete assigned tasks (e.g. Personal protective equipment (PPE), field level hazard assessments (FLHA), safe work procedures, emergency response plans, spill kits, etc.) Interact with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and to provide timely and effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Manage and maintain accurate inventory of electrical equipment, tools, and spare parts, and initiate reordering when necessary. Providing oversight and direction for and within the team on site and providing timely maintenance updates. Assisting with in-house training programs and encouraging best work practices which leads to continuous improvement initiatives Other duties as assignedQualifications:
Red Seal Journeyman Certified Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required Strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective problem-solving skills Excellent ability to read drawings and schematics Ability to build and work in a team environment Strong commitment to personal and team safety Highly experienced with customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focusWhy join our team:
